متن کاملOn Einstein‟s Program and Quantum Double Slit Experiment
The Einstein‟s program enables a theoretical economy for quantum double slit experiment, in its wave-particle duality behavior, with the unification of first and second quantifications for light and matter. It introduces a space-like amplitude function u(r,t), which completes the usual time-like functions ψ(r,t) of quantum mechanics and quantum fields. The Einstein‟s program is founded upon a s...
متن کاملQuantum Caustics in the Gaussian Slit Experiment
We study classical and quantum caustics for systems with quadratic Lagrangians of the form L = 1 2 ẋ − 1 2 λ(t)x − μ(t)x. After deriving the transition amplitude on caustics in a closed form, we consider the Gaussian slit experiment and point out that the focusing around caustics is stabilized against initial momentum fluctuations by quantum effect. متن کاملThe Quantum Double as Quantum Mechanics
We introduce ∗-structures on braided groups and braided matrices. Using this, we show that the quantum double D(Uq(su2)) can be viewed as the quantum algebra of observables of a quantum particle moving on a hyperboloid in q-Minkowski space (a three-sphere in the Lorentz metric), and with the role of angular momentum played by Uq(su2). This provides a new example of a quantum system whose algebr...
متن کاملQuantum Mechanics the Key to Understanding Magnetism
The existence of magnetic materials has been known almost since prehistoric times, but only in the 20th century has it been understood how and why the magnetic susceptibility is influenced by chemical composition or crystallographic structure. In the 19th century the pioneer work of Oersted, Ampere, Faraday and Joseph Henry revealed the intimate connection between electricity and magnetism. Max...
